Research 126: the batch executor's first stage (024) as built and measured: knapsack 1,041 to 13.6 ms in the executor (the compiled code 7.5; its inner loop 1.17x the tier's, the stage's criterion missed; the table's adds left to stage 4), the executor without batch loops unchanged; what measuring overturned (a call among the steps cost 20% of the instructions, so two copies; run aligned to 64 for its cycles; results apart from operands for vector code); tests; 1024 lanes, 134 KB a thread; 024 and CHECKPOINT say so
