From 37d3a1e152707d2da587440c4cea8601b9ef0fd2 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: eunhhu Date: Sun, 27 Sep 2026 13:14:38 +0100 Subject: Lay Pure out as a core with the parts selected around it The app model, the tree store and the HTTP host lived in prototypes/connections among the earlier document runtime, the store was known only by its format's name, and Vega compiled six Pure sources by path. Now, as the README's principle has it: core/ runtime, flow and the app model (module*.c), with what the core asks of storage (state.h, store.h) store/ the tree store (PURETRE3, PUREREC1) serve/ pure-serve: HTTP host, outbound delivery, JSON in place cli/ pure-run, pure-edit-module A top-level make builds libpure.a (app model and store, for hosts to link) and the hosts; make check runs the store's and the app model's tests. The earlier runtime still builds from prototypes/connections against core/ and store/ (check, check-tree and check-core pass). Design 009 records the rule: parts by role behind libraries; git repositories split by coupling, so the store stays here while its contract moves with the core, and Vega stays apart. --- core/store.h | 54 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 1 file changed, 54 insertions(+) create mode 100644 core/store.h (limited to 'core/store.h') diff --git a/core/store.h b/core/store.h new file mode 100644 index 0000000..dbfa8f8 --- /dev/null +++ b/core/store.h @@ -0,0 +1,54 @@ +#ifndef PURE_STORE_H +#define PURE_STORE_H +#include "flow.h" +#include "result.h" +#include + +#define PURE_OBJECT_LIMIT ((2u * 6u + 32u) * 32768u + 8192u) +typedef struct { + void *mapping; + size_t mapped_size, object_size; + PureSpan body; + int64_t revision; +} PureStoredView; + +PureResult pure_store_init(const char *path); +PureResult pure_store_get(const char *path, const char *key, size_t available, + PureStoredView *out); +PureResult pure_store_get_range(const char *path, const char *key, size_t offset, + size_t length, size_t available, PureStoredView *out); +/* Inspect once: guards and mapping refer to the same immutable file version. + * minimum preserves bounds checks from eliminated intermediate views. + * whole selects the suffix starting at offset; otherwise length is exact. */ +PureResult pure_store_select(const char *path, const char *key, size_t offset, + size_t length, bool whole, size_t minimum, + size_t available, PureStoredView *out); +void pure_store_release(PureStoredView *); +PureResult pure_store_put(const char *path, const char *key, int64_t expected, + PureSpan body, int64_t *revision); +/* Atomic byte replacement: retain [0,offset), insert bytes, retain suffix after + * remove bytes.
